"The more I interview people the more I am reminded of how important it is to listen to ourselves. Nobody is going to come and save us and have all the answers. I think we really have to let go of that... of waiting for that angel who can answer all the questions and change our lives, or for that perfect person who just doesn't exist. WE are the ones who are going to change our lives. WE are the answers to our questions, and the answers are going to come from within."

WHO IS LILOU MACE?
I am French American. I'm 34 years old and I'm a video blogger, I'm an author, and I interview people. I'm not really a journalist because I haven't studied journalism but I love connecting with interesting people. One thing lead to another and now I'm interviewing some of the New York Times bestsellers, and I'm having one on one conversations in their own home with them as I was traveling last year around the US, Canada and Mexico. Right now I have over 17 hundred videos on YouTube with nearly 13 million views. People from all over the world watch them... Originally in US and Canada and now it's growing in Europe.
I wrote a book after losing my job back in Feb 16, 2009. I think I wll remember that date forever. I was Director of Marketing and I moved from the US for this job and that was one of the most humbling moments. I still had activity on YouTube during the night time when this happened and during the day I was working for somebody. I was so grateful when I lost my job even if it was the most trying moment. That was the time I began to fully live my dream. There's been different steps along the way. One of them was moving to the US once I graduated from College. I moved to Florida and for 8 years I worked for my company designing websites and logos... creating newsletters mainly for the traveling industry because I love traveling. Most of my work was always internet based
When I moved to Chicago. that's when the synchronicities manifested, I met Oprah Winfrey and when I saw her doing her show when I was in the audience I thought this is what I'd wanna do. That's what sparked The Juicy Life. The following day I was searching online on how I can take a course, start a class, how can I start a show, yet I was already video blogging. I saw that the internet was gonna be my platform. But I didn't think TV or anything. I wasn't pretty good at communicating. That was pretty wild. And then I found out that things just worked out... Things just kept on opening up and within two months I was producing my show in Cannes TV in Chicago and My Juicy Life was born the first year I started using that. I dunno exactly how many people were watching but YouTube was always the platform. Eventually I moved on Youtube fully and I have been there ever since. I've been posting videos since March 2006 now on there, and the Juicy Life became The Juicy Tour... and now The European Juicy Living Tour.
I can't believe I'm receiving e-mails from Eastern Europe, from people watching in Bulgaria, in Romania, in Latvia, in Russia...in places that just seem so remote. People are watching and they want me to come there and that's how it got really really juicy. I can't believe it's getting juicier and juicier than last year.

YOUR PASSION FOR INTERVIEWING & ENTERTAINMENT... DID YOU EVER SEE YOURSELF DOING ALL THESE THINGS AS A CHILD?
That's a very good question! I remember when I was 8 years old I've always loved dancing and organizing... It wasn't really so much about the dancing for me, it was more about the choreography and putting something together that was entertaining but a little out of the box . I was really the leader! I was the one telling my friends, "Ok you go here, you go there, move like this.." and I was changing my mind but it was also fun. And I was bringing in the US songs... I had lived from 6 to 8 years old in the US so I took the music with me.
I've always been a little goofy on the side too, just cracking jokes and I think that was even more visible in France. I did a lot of French videos with humor because that's the only way I found I was able to talk about consciousness, the shift, and all that. I used the humor and people just loved it. And I only did that because I used to be very shy and being funny was my way of breaking out of that shyness. I'm having a lot of fun and I feel that fun is such a big component .... the more we heal ourselves the more we become the child that we were.
TELL ME ABOUT YOUR MOST MEMORABLE INTERVIEWS.
The one I really loved, and it was such a big surprise too, was interviewing Wayne Dyer in the very last day I was in Hawaii... It was so amazing to be in his apartment, in his living room in the beautiful Western Bay of Maui. It was just surreal. I received a text message from his daughter telling me "If you want my dad can be interviewed in 15 minutes. He would love that."

It was so amazing to be in his apartment, in his living room in the beautiful Western Bay of Maui. It was just surreal. I received a text message from his daughter telling me "If you want my dad can be interviewed in 15 minutes. He would love that."
I ended up interviewing him for an hour. And four out of his 9 kids were there. He's such a famous author and just his voice was surreal! You see him talking to Oprah Winfrey and Ellen De Generes and write all these wonderful books and now I hear he is talking about my interviews with him and Anita Moorjani. (on near death experiences) in his conferences.
It was just a ripple effect from just letting go and trusting. I clearly had set the intention. "I want to meet Wayne Dyer and interview him , but it will come to me." I said that... it will come to me. Even at the very last moment I went back home I told myself I'm very satisfied with what I am able to do and broadcast throughout Hawaii and if Wayne Dyer is not supposed to be part of that then that's okay. BUT I still would love that. To have as much as intended it and as much as let go of it that is manifest. It was amazing... To see him in six, seven or eight of these conferences where there were 8 to 15 thousand people each time and to hear him mentioning "Search on YouTube Lilou and Anita" for this interview. So that's more people watching me and more people watching other people that are not known ...You see, my intention too isn't to interview the Wayne Dyers but people who have really made this transition..so juicy and ready to come out and then give them that possibility of exposing their message throughout the world. The rippling effect it has is infinite. That's co-creation. It's so fulfilling. It's beautiful. You'll never know what comes. You just have to trust.
I also loved interviewing Joe Dispenza in "What the Bleep Do We Know?" He talks of Neuro Science ...It was a particularly interesting interview because I went to his place where you are able to access many dimensions. He brought his dream world into reality in his garden. So when you step in his garden and forest you are just transported in his own dream time. You have ponds and statues. Everything feels so surreal. Usually a home is a home, but here it's like a dream land. Not my dream land but its clearly coming from a dream world. I've never been in a place like this. So I thought that was awesome. This guy is not just talking about dream land hes making it real. He's not just talking about rewiring the brain and how you can change your future if you start thinking in different ways and start connecting into different neuro-pathways ...he's the real thing.
And Don Miguel Ruiz, ("Mastery of Love") being with him on Valentines day was great. He's just like this love ball. It's one thing to interview somebody over Skype and then it's another to meet them in person. I was very afraid of doing that... of just being their presence and doing the interview live and face to face. It's like BOOM, you have to do it they're there! I don't know who's gonna be around...I'm so happy I stepped into my comfort zone, and I encourage everyone to do the same. It's so rewarding.
LET'S TALK ABOUT YOUR NEW BOOK "I HAD NO MONEY AND I LIKED IT".
This is the sequel to my first book "I Lost my Job and I Liked It"... At the close of that first book I shared my feelings of being "on top of the mountain.” In the continuation of my story, I discover that I had merely reached a plateau and that it would take further courage and determination to continue my ascent to the “mountain top”. It would also take willingness to open my heart and be emotionally vulnerable to allow loving abundance in. On this path to self realization, I was met with a number of humbling detours and hopeful synchronicities. But I had faith in my purpose and the actions I took to manifest that purpose, that bring her ever closer to realizing her dreams. This book doesn’t sugar-coat the obstacles people confront when taking a leap of faith. So what it does do is celebrate the joy that comes from following the calling of your heart, staying in the flow of unlimited possibilities and opening yourself up to the miracles that are out there waiting for us if we trust ourselves , trust the Universe… and simply BELIEVE!
YOU'VE HAD A CHANCE TO INTERVIEW SO MANY PEOPLE, PHILOSOPHERS, AUTHORS, SCIENTISTS, DOCTORS etc, ALL WITH THEIR OWN STORY... THEIR OWN THING TO SAY ABOUT LIFE. DO YOU FIND YOURSELF RESONATING WITH ONE PARTICULAR TRUTH?
The more I interview people the more I am reminded of how important it is to listen to ourselves. Nobody is going to come and save us and have all the answers. I think we really have to let go of that... of waiting for that angel who can answer all the questions and change our lives, or for that perfect person who just doesn't exist. WE are the ones who are going to change our lives. WE are the answers to our questions, and the answers are going to come from within.
I'm learning how important it is to listen to our inner voice. It's so important to do this because there is so much information out there we really have to stop and say 'How does it feel inside?'. We all have our truth, our message and our beauty. So is there one truth? I don't know. It's not really that I feel confused. It's like the more it goes the more I have self love and respect and I encourage people to just follow that. I don't think anybody holds all the truth. And if somebody says they do then I'm a little bit worried.
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED ABOUT YOURSELF FROM THIS EXPERIENCE SO FAR?
That I just so appreciate who I have become, and I so appreciate what I am doing. I appreciate the unfolding of this journey and how I am connecting more and more everyday with people around the world. I am daring to be intimate... to just open up. I see now more than ever how my world was really closed and I was afraid to open my heart and connect with others. The more I'm opening up the more I'm loving who I am, with just that true sense of love not in an egoistic way just a deep appreciation from being alive. From being able to do what I'm doing. From living my truth. Just living day by day, and being reminded of this truth. Doing my best to be true to this voice.
Sometimes I'm off track and sometimes I'm back on and when I'm back on I have this deep appreciation for being on track and 'in the flow' for the most part. It's so great. I feel that all of us are just opening and healing. We can all be that, be in tune with what we are doing. It doesn't matter the form or method, the satisfaction is the same. If we're doing it with heart, if we're doing it with gratitude, if we're moving forward, if we're just authentic and true to ourselves and responsible then the journey keeps on opening up. The fulfillment is the same. It doesn't matter how it looks like on the outside because inside we know exactly when we're in tune.
AND WHAT HAVE YOU UNLEARNED?
I let go of the unworthiness. I think this is one of the biggest things that is affecting all of us. We don't feel worthy of something, and then we sabotage ourselves or we just don't give ourselves the authorization to do it. We don't feel that we deserve it. That's why self love is so important. I want to feel worthy of a magnificent dream, and live it.
I used to have the sense of not being good enough, so I created a reality based on that. I didn't have faith in love and thought that love would end up in a bad way, I'll be screwed, or manipulated. All those things I created and I don't want to live my life like that anymore. So now I have it in conversations. When someone is abusive of a relationship emotionally, I'm gonna say it. I'm gonna restate to my partner that I do want an amazing, easy, beautiful, loving relationship. And I just continue to declare and say it in a loving way. even if some fears sometimes come up, old patterns keep appearing, that's okay... As long as I am aware of my actions and reactions I get closer and closer to healing and being freed of all those old ideas and patterns.
NAME A FEW PEOPLE WHO YOU WOULD LIKE TO INTERVIEW IN THE FUTURE.
Vladimir Megre, the author of Ringing Cedars would be an awesome interview ...I'm going to Bulgaria and Russia soon and it would be great to meet him. I would love to interview Paulo Coelho of course... I don't know if he will confirm, but that would be simply amazing.
I would love to interview Louis Hay. She's getting old and she's one of those people that really made a difference. She's a publisher of Hay House. A lot of great authors are published by her.
But I must say I would love to interview some actors or people that are well know that made the transition and are ready to speak out about the unseen world and are conscious. What they have learned and how they went from a materialistic view of life to a more simple and open and free flowing life. I would love that.
I'd love to interview Mikhail Gorbachev in Russia. That would just be amazing. He made such an impact and a difference in the world. Thich Nhat Hahn, he's in France. Sometimes I spend time there. That would be amazing too. I don't know. We'll see how it's gonna look like!
YOU'RE FACE TO FACE WITH YOUR 5 YEAR OLD SELF. WHAT WOULD YOU TELL HER?
It would be to trust and just to enjoy and take my time to enjoy everything. That I don't need to rush and be impatient. That I can take my time in being the kid that just want to laugh. I don't need to take things seriously...EVER! Just don't rush... Let things come to you and enjoy the ride. Just be reminded that there is a beautiful future. Just trust and be patient. Just trust that everything happens at the right time.
WHAT IS LOVE?
Love , love , love..... It's this infinite, unlimited source that we come from. Everything is made of love. We are love. It's the most delicious thing we're marinating in at all times. We're reminded of little bits and pieces of it because we have separated ourselves from love and there are these moments where we have this glimpse of what it is really. My intention is to feel it at all times and feel it with an open heart . It's not an intellectual process. We have to just be there in that moment right now, by closing our eyes, by looking at a butterfly or tree or just being grateful for our conversation right there we are experiencing love... Right there we are in love. It's not an exchange because it's already there at all times. We're just receiving it and giving. Once we're vulnerable to it, when were sharing our feelings and emotions then its amplified and we tune in to it. But we have to open up to feel it otherwise we feel we're separated from it. It's always there. We are the ones who shut ourselves from it. Yes it's always been there for us... It's like the air we breathe.
YOUR ONE MESSAGE TO THE WORLD.
My message is to take the first step to get closer to who you are... to what your heart aspires to do or what your soul wants to express. Whether it's a phone call...or maybe it's registering a domain name...or saying to your loved one that you love them... Just keep moving forward. Don't stay where you are at even if you feel like there is nothing that you can do. Sometimes there is a good reason why we need to rest and you feel when it's the right time to move forward. Not moving forward if you are in fear but the moving forward that is infused with love. Where you feel that it's your next step. I think it's Martin Luther King who said you don't need to see the whole staircase.
Just take the first step. Step into the unknown.
